I'm Brock Weekley
and this is me

I am a Cloud Engineer and Web Developer deeply passionate about achieving results through leadership.
Specializing in cloud infrastructures and multi-platform applications, I possess a strong proficiency in Agile development and DevOps optimization.
I have developed cloud platforms for the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDoT), as well as SS&C Technologies,
a leading global provider of software and services for the financial and healthcare industries. Holding a Master's degree in Computer Science, I
bring a solid and innovative foundation to every project I touch.
and these are my principles of development
I focus on simple, reusable, responsive, and accessible design through modern UI libraries and JavaScript frameworks.
In the 21st century, the internet dominates daily life worldwide across billions of devices. When crafting User Interfaces, my focus is on simplicity, usability, responsiveness, and accessibility. With extensive experience in both mobile and desktop development, I prioritize A11Y and RWD principles for effective, business-driven designs that benefit both internal and external users. Proficient in JavaScript frameworks like React, Vue, and Angular, as well as hybrid tools like Ionic and React-Native, I leverage UI libraries such as Bootstrap and Material, CSS principles like grid and flexbox, and advanced styling languages like SASS to create elegant interfaces.
Modular stateless endpoints are the key to exposing data safely and effectively.
Focusing on user-centric development, I prioritize data integrity and structure, emphasizing clean, reliable code for scalable, reusable projects. Using Model View Controller and Object-Oriented architecture, I design Java apps with Springboot and MySQL, and develop REST APIs in Java, Python, or Go. Leveraging tools like TypeScript, Wave, Axe, and Lighthouse, I ensure frontend code remains compliant, manageable, and modular. I use GitHub to facilitate effective team collaboration and code integrity through codeQL, sonar, and code reviews.
Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment is the key to an interactive client and smooth workflow.
From my extensive experience with GitLab, Jenkins, GCP, and GitHub pipelines, I've found that CICD greatly enhances both client and developer satisfaction. Regular product updates foster client engagement and eliminate communication barriers between developers. I've honed skills in creating scalable, secure environments by building custom clouds with Docker containers in Kubernetes, and utilizing public cloud options like AWS or Google Cloud for bursting. It's crucial for software architects to find a balance between future-proof solutions and short-term fixes, to deliver value quickly but have an end goal in mind.
